Matching Gifts

Matching Gifts

We invest in our communities by matching donations from employees, agents and retirees to qualified nonprofit organizations and schools. In some cases, matches can reach up to $4,500 per calendar year, per associate.

100 for Good® program

100 for Good®

The 100 for Good program energizes our culture of helping others. In three years, employees and agents recorded over 1,000,000 acts of good that delivered a smile, inspired someone or improved the community.

Good Neighbor Grant®

Good Neighbor Grant®

Eligible nonprofits are awarded a $500 grant when employees, agents or retirees volunteer a minimum of 40 hours (per calendar year) to that organization. We can even pool our volunteer time to reach 40 hours.

1963

State Farm Companies Foundation

To encourage State Farm associates to be good neighbors by giving back to the communities where they live and work.

1999

Good Neighbor Grant Individual Program

The State Farm Companies Foundation awards grants on behalf of each eligible State Farm employee, agent, or retiree who volunteers a minimum of 40 hours per calendar year to an eligible nonprofit organization.

2001

Implemented the Good Neighbor Citizenship® Grant Program

Provides the opportunity for State Farm to support educational institutions, government entities and qualifying nonprofit organizations.

2014

Started Back to School Supply, Peanut Butter and the Holiday Gift Drives

Offers State Farm employees opportunities to work together to meet the needs of communities across the country.

2016

Employee Resource Group (ERG) Grant Program

Each ERG receives a philanthropic budget to support nonprofits that align with their mission and vision.

Matching Gift – Charitable Organization Program

Provides the opportunity for State Farm to support qualifying nonprofit organizations, including K-12 public and private schools.

2019

Good Neighbor Grant Team Program

State Farm employees, agents and retirees may volunteer as a team for an eligible nonprofit organization. Once the team accrues a minimum of 40 hours in a calendar year, State Farm Companies Foundation awards a grant to the nonprofit organization on behalf of that team.

2022

100 For Good

On the Company’s 100th anniversary, employees and agents reached a historic milestone by recording 1,000,000 acts of good. This collective effort reinforced how being a good neighbor improves the lives of everyone around us.
